Can women really keep up with the boys?
I have been in the golf world for about 19 years now...playing competitively for 15, and men still seem to think that I know nothing about the game. Why do guys always think that they know more about things than girls?
I hate when I go to a golf store and the men working there assume that I need women's clubs, even though I could probably kick their butts on the course. They talk to be as if I'm a beginner, and laugh at me when I go to look at the new "Men's" drivers. Or when I go to a golf course to play a nice round with my boyfriend and some friends, I get stared at, and I hear chuckles in the background as I walk by. HELLO! If I wasn't any good then why would I have a college bag? Humm...think about it. I love getting the chance to make the men stick their foot in their mouth when they see me play. I'm not trying to sound stuck up at all, but seriously guys if you got it flaunt it! :o)
So, to all the women out there. Whether you play golf, or any other sport for that matter, next time a guy thinks you aren't good enough to keep up with the boys, do me a favor and prove them wrong!
